Happy 2011 Easter! Mackenzie was terrified of Santa so I just knew we would have a freak-out over the bunny! Well, she totally surprised me! She calls bunny rabbits "bop bops" so she loved petting the bop bop and sitting on his lap! Good Job baby girl...you made momma proud!

Tuesday was a wonderful day to head to the zoo....with

our 3 best friends! So Jackson/Jessica, Morgan/Ashley,

Paige/Kelly, and Mac/I set off for a fun filled day together!

The kids had a blast walking around looking at all of

the animals. Mackenzie's favorites were monkeys,

sea lions, elephants, and goats! She actually got

to hang out with the goats and the whole time

called after them by yelling...woof woof! We are

so blessed to get to stay home with our babies and take

field trips like these :)

I'm BACK!

Well, I know it's been awhile since I've posted anything and I'm going to be better about keeping up with my blog. I love to blog stalk other blogs but I have been slacking on my own. I hate to say that FB is just so easy to post and go :(

Since my last post (which was back in April) Mackenzie has turned ONE, we went on family vacation, traveled to see family and friends out of town, started walking and talking, and becoming a toddler! So I'm moving forward and not looking back!

Mackenzie's new thing that seems to consume our day is EATING! It takes about 30 to 45 minutes, grenades (food) are thrown overboard, put in our hair, rubbed all over the tray, stuffed in places that are hard to clean, and overall FRUSTRATING for momma! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Enjoy the pics!

Just a swingin.....

mark and stacy gave Mackenzie a pink swing for Christmas....that's right....Christmas! well jp finally got around to hanging it after much nagging this weekend :) actually we went to the tarros for dinner on saturday night and he witnessed 1st hand how much she LOVES to swing! so we went to Lowes and got all of the essentials hooks, screws, chain links etc.....and now we have a SWING! Mackenzie loves her swing and so does MOMMA!

Mackenzie had her first pool experience.....and

she LOVED it! she loves her big girl bathtime

but this took the cake! at night she swirls around

in our huge tub playing and chewing on all of

her toys but the pool was a big difference. she was

super happy and smiling the whole but was very

cautious. a couple of times her face hit the water

and you would have thought she was drowning :(

even then she wore a SMILE....I can't wait for

summer and enjoying our pool everyday!

Happy Easter Everyone! We have been very busy

lately....(hince why I'm a slacker on the blog).....my back

is finally on the mend, Mackenzie is growing like a weed,

Jp is working harder than ever, and the dogs are loving

me being home everyday! Mackenzie and I are enjoying

lots of playtime with friends and family....we LOVE to get

out of this house! We are looking forward to a fun filled

Easter weekend with the whole family!

her feet but she wouldn't give it to him....she

thought there was water in there!

Mackenzie had to visit Dr. B on Feb. 12th

because she had fever and was rubbing her ear!

sad news......her 1st ear infection but she

is such a champ when she is hurt or sick!

Tick Tock......

Time is flying by and Mackenzie is 28 weeks old!

There are so many cute things she has done in

the last few weeks so I am stealing this from my friend

Melanie Allen only b/c I am not so good at remembering!

i figured i could at least look back at my blog to see

Mackenzie's milestones when i try to scrapbook (maybe

when she's 18).

ACTIVITIES: rolling over 360

sitting up with little help

loves to swing and bounce (thanks Morgan)

loves to chew everything!!!

loves to play with Bella's ears

loves her exersaucer

loves to eat "real" food (as we call it)

loves to drink out of our cups and her sippycup

rubs her ears when she is tired

smiles all day long

giggles like crazy

sleeps 12 hours

takes 3 naps...mornings are her BEST!!!

screams so loud

twists around when we hold her in our arms

sucks 2 fingers...doesn't matter which hand

sooo jerky with her right hand.....slaps our faces

raises her arms for us to pick her up

prunes

sweet peas

sweet potatoes

butternut squash

carrots

rice cereal

oatmeal

I'm sure I left lots of things out but it is so hard to remember on the spot!

Mackenzie, Mommy and Daddy love you more than you will ever know!

Mac is 1/2 year old!!!!!

I feel so lucky to have people want to take Mackenzie's

pictures! She seems to LOVE being a model and

smiling for the camera:) My partner teacher, Betty's

nephew, Barrett is 14 years old and has found

a hobby with cameras! He came over just to shoot a

few pics of Mackenzie and here they are! I think

he has found his calling.....thanks Barrett!

December----Our Month in Review!

December has come and gone in a flash!

What a month we have had: Mackenzie's baptism,

3 Christmas Celebrations,

a road trip (yes we drove) to Tennessee and back,

first New Year's with a 5 month old...but we survived,

and the beginning of a hard 2 months with a nanny

b/c of my back surgery (hard for me...not for her)

2009: Thanks for all of the memories, blessings, recoveries,

babies in the family, both sides of our families, and we look forward to 2010!

Well, I scheduled Mackenzie's baptism months before knowing

I was having back surgery....so 12 days after back surgery

we had to be at the church at 11 which sounds EASY right!?!?

Well....let's not ask Jp about that!! He had to get himself, me,

and Mackenzie ready for her debut at church...not an easy task...

but SUCCESSFUL....and we were on time (which

doesn't happen often anymore!)

He is the best husband a girl could ask for :)
