I'VE ARRIVED....

on July 27th, 2009, weighing in at 5lbs. 14 oz and my length is 19 1/2" long. my arrival was very eventful! my mom and dad anxiously waited on pins and needles to hold me and hear me cry. i was just chillin when dr. westmoreland ripped me out of my mommy's tummy. i immediatelty started cryin, which made mom and dad very happy! the nurse checked me out and gave me the A-OK so i was passed over to my daddy. mommy got to hold and kiss me for just a few minutes until i was whisked away to the recovery room to wait on mommy's arrival. everything is great now and i am feeding pretty good---we still need some pracice!!! thanks to my fabulous nurse, Jennifer, and my daddy--- i couldn't have made it safely without both of them...one word...AWESOME!! i have been soooooo good since i entered the world-----but it is that time to see how well i do while sleeping. GOOD NIGHT!!
Leaving for the hospital....can't stand it :)

Well, the time has come.....

to welcome baby Mackenzie Ryan!!!! Her birthday will be Monday, July 27th around 3:00. Here is the story: we went to our 36 week ultrasound only to find out that she is breech and floating around in low amniotic fluid. With low fluid she doesn't have room to turn into the "natural" birthing position, so a scheduled c-section is a must! I do go back to the doc on Friday to check her fluid one more time and then on Monday I will be checked "just in case" she turned on her own! Either way she will enter the world on Monday! Happy Birthday Baby Girl :) We can't wait to hear you cry and hold you in our arms!!!

we have a "thing" in our neighborhood where we go out to celebrate birthdays! this past Friday, we celebrated Aron and Amy's birthday dinner at Flemings! steaks, mac n cheese, and fleming's potatoes are a MUST!! Oh, i forgot to mention the melting chocolate mountain cake and creme' brulee :) after dinner we ventured over to the new swanky wine bar called, Crush, on the waterway. of course, a pregnant woman at a wine bar stuck out like a sore thumb but none the less we stayed out and had a blast! Thanks girls for letting us celebrate with you two :)

Mackenzie's Nursery!!!!

So with about 4 more weeks left everyone is asking about the nursery! my bumper is finally here but it is not working (the ties are wrong) so it is still a work in progress. don't ask?!?! for what was supposed to take 8 weeks took 14 weeks and is NOT correct :( so when my drape lady comes back into town from va-ca she will fix it for me!! obviously we chose the pink, brown, and creme theme and I LOVE IT!!! i wanted her name above her crib but couldn't find exactly what i wanted, so of course i said i can make those!!! what was i thinking??? i recruited my neighbor, Amy, and we painted for days!!! i am proud to say that we did them b/c they mean so much more!!! enjoy the pics and soon you will see a pic of little Mac sleeping in her crib!! we can't wait!

Contractions and Sausage Toes!!!

So I had a couple of "firsts" since becoming pregnant. Last night we were at our neighbors house watching a fight on pay per view and of course all of the girls were on the couch yackin about everything but the fight. When Aron, my neighbor, asked me if I've had any contractions......not knowing what they feel like.....I immediately answered NO! About 10 minutes later I told her to feel Mackenzie's butt, b/c it was moving and so hard! She touched my belly and YELLED you are having a contraction!!! Oh my gosh.....WHAT?!?! A contraction???? That's what it feels like??? I've been having those for about a week! Our conversation went on from there and quickly turned into, "WOW...your feet look swollen and you have sausage toes!" Thanks a bunch right....just what a pregnant girl wants to hear?!?! I guess it is a fact, my feet have been the worst part of my pregnancy......swelling, tingling, and aching. Thanks Aron for breaking the "sausage toes" news to me :) i guess i was in DENIAL!!!!
